Communications Log

Yesterday had been an emo overload for Hoshi. First her discussion with Annette, and then Jack, and finally Ino. Even with Martial Arts Club in between, Hoshi felt a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of emo.

Which is why she wrote, "This is an emo-free zone," on a piece of paper and stuck it on the door. Then she sat on the spare bed in a half-lotus position, closed her eyes, and tried to let go of the things that were bothering her.

The door was closed, but anyone knocking on it better not bring any emo with them.

Hoshi would say that she's having one of those days, except it's been going on all week. First, there was that thing with the vampire on Monday night. Then there was a monkey at the pizza place yesterday. Just when she thought it couldn't get any wackier, there were the two guys paddling a canoe on the street outside the hotel.

At least there was one bit of good news. When she got back to her room, there was a letter from her parents saying that they wouldn't be able to attend Parents Weekend anyway. That suited her just fine. She felt like it was safer just to stay in her room all weekend until classes started on Monday. Only problem with that plan was that she still had that date thing with Jack tomorrow, which had the potential for complete and utter disaster considering how the last three days had been.

So the door and window were both closed while one of the occupants of room 423 was hiding under the covers wishing that this week would just get over already.
