After the weirdness of the last couple of weeks, things were starting to look up for Hoshi. She was really looking forward to the dance on Friday and she still felt absolutely giddy about Michael saying yes when she asked him to go to the dance with her.

As she went to the closet to see if she had anything to wear on Friday, Hoshi got a glimpse of the picture of Commander Archer that she had taped to her closet door. She looked it at for a moment, then took it down and placed it in her desk drawer. While Jonathon was still important to her, Hoshi was willing to admit that he was far off in another time period having drinks with that girl at the 602 Club. She might as well have her own relationships here in Fandom.

[Linkdrop, but the door and post are open.]

When she hadn't been in class or at work this week, Hoshi had been in her room studying Sanskrit. After a short breather last night, she came back to her room and worked through the night.

Finally feeling like she had mastered the art of writing in a dead language, Hoshi took a step back and admired her work. There were sheets of paper everywhere covered in Sanskrit characters. They were tacked up to the walls, the door, the mirror, the desks, and spread out all over the extra bed.

Now she needed a new challenge, preferably a spoken language this time.

The door, if you could find it among all the paper, was closed.

[Establishy as it's a linkdrop, but the post can be open because I'm bored scratch that, as the laptop has decided that it doesn't want to play nice.]
Hoshi's week was fairly busy after the wackiness of the weekend. At least people in her Monday class were dealing with the same thing. She also managed to attend a rooftop party without a panic attack, fought off a jello dragon with the sound of her voice, introduced herself to Sky who lived down the hall, gossiped about Barney with Karal at the library, and met an interesting stranger at the hotel. Ethics was still going to be a tough class, but she was up to the challenge. She was still a little upset about losing the belly button piercing that she hadn't wanted in the first place, but at least her belly didn't hurt anymore.

After leaving the common room that morning, Hoshi went back to her room and took a nap. Hey, it was Saturday, and it wasn't like she had a lot that needed to get done. Besides, the buzzing in her head that started in the common room kept getting worse.

Eventually, she woke up hungry, but the buzzing hadn't dissipated at all. She thought a cup of green tea would help, but the stupid protein re-sequencer would only give her chocolate milk. "Come on! You gave me tequila over the weekend. Why can't I get green tea now?" she yelled at the thing. It didn't respond.

[Open! Like everyone else who watched the dance, Hoshi has a very strong urge to kiss another girl, and until she does, the buzzing in her head won't go away. Please help put her out of her misery.]

In retrospect, Hoshi should have known that something would go weird with attending her 20 year high school reunion. Her first trip to Fandom took her 137 years into the past, and this one took her 157 years... which was still about 20 years too early. Still, it was great catching up with people she hadn't seen in years, even if some were still teenagers. It was also completely worth it for having Robin use her communicator to talk to Malcolm.

Her communicator had been silent ever since. It looked like Malcolm was so completely freaked out that he was leaving her alone for the rest of her shore leave. She wouldn't complain about being able to sleep in tomorrow.
