Hoshi's week was fairly busy after the wackiness of the weekend. At least people in her Monday class were dealing with the same thing. She also managed to attend a rooftop party without a panic attack, fought off a jello dragon with the sound of her voice, introduced herself to Sky who lived down the hall, gossiped about Barney with Karal at the library, and met an interesting stranger at the hotel. Ethics was still going to be a tough class, but she was up to the challenge. She was still a little upset about losing the belly button piercing that she hadn't wanted in the first place, but at least her belly didn't hurt anymore.

After leaving the common room that morning, Hoshi went back to her room and took a nap. Hey, it was Saturday, and it wasn't like she had a lot that needed to get done. Besides, the buzzing in her head that started in the common room kept getting worse.

Eventually, she woke up hungry, but the buzzing hadn't dissipated at all. She thought a cup of green tea would help, but the stupid protein re-sequencer would only give her chocolate milk. "Come on! You gave me tequila over the weekend. Why can't I get green tea now?" she yelled at the thing. It didn't respond.

[Open! Like everyone else who watched the dance, Hoshi has a very strong urge to kiss another girl, and until she does, the buzzing in her head won't go away. Please help put her out of her misery.]

Hoshi stumbled back to her room from Caritas, feeling buzzed but very, very good. This place was still so incredibly boring, but liquor took care of that and at least she had a private room. Maximilian must be good for something, she thought.

She even had a replicator, even though this model seemed a bit primitive. "Tequila," she requested, and the replicator provided her with a bottle.

[Door and post are so very open! closed as I'm going to bed.]

Hoshi was still struggling to get the protein resequencer to give her something besides water, milk, or extremely weak tea. The first week of classes were over, and she was pleased with her choices before. She also got to meet another student who was actually a turtle, even though he didn't speak Turtle. There was also the snowball fight which had been just a little bit fun, though she wasn't going to admit that to Ino.

"I give up," she muttered, putting away the PADD with programming instructions for the resequencer and taking out her hot plate and kettle. At least she didn't have to go down to the common room for water anymore to make a decent pot of green tea.

[Linkdrop, but the post is open.]

The welcome picnic on Friday had been full of surprises. Hoshi had another one when she realized that she had the room to herself this semester, but she took it in stride. She had brought back some things to make it feel more like home, including a shoji screen and tatami mats. Travis Mayweather had also helped her acquire a protein resequencer, the same model used on deep space cargo ships. She still hadn't figured out how to program it to make something other than water or milk, so she was currently using her hot plate and a kettle to brew some green tea the old fashioned way while she unpacked things from her shopping trip earlier in the day.

[Door and post are open, especially for big and little siblings as well as frogs.]
