Hoshi was going to be sending Portalocity a strongly-worded letter after the layover she'd just endured. It wasn't fair to be stuck in a small lounge with a very good-looking Swedish guy with the most amazing voice when she had a boyfriend stuck somewhere else in time. It took every ounce of willpower she had to turn down the Swede's offer to skip her next portal and join him for a personal tour of Stockholm.

It had taken much longer than she had planned, but Hoshi finally made it to her destination in San Francisco. She doubted that the hotel she had booked held her room after all the delays she'd endured. As she walked out of the Portalocity terminal, she decided that it would be much simpler to head straight to Captain Archer's place and crash there for the night.

It didn't seem like such a good idea anymore when Captain Archer, wearing just a pair of pajama pants, opened the door to his apartment. "I thought your transportation was delayed," he said, running a hand through his mussed-up hair. "I wasn't expecting you to arrive until tomorrow morning."

"I got lucky," said Hoshi without thinking. Then she blushed as the implication of her words sunk in. "Um, maybe I should just see if they still have rooms available at the inn. You look like you're ready for bed."

"Nonsense. It's awfully late, Hoshi. I wouldn't want you roaming the streets at this hour looking for a place to stay. Why don't you come in and make yourself comfortable? I'll go make up the bed in the guest room," said Archer.

As Hoshi watched him walk away, she dropped her backpack on the floor and groaned. "There is a special kind of hell and I'm in it," she mumbled to herself.
