There was no particular reason for this trip to San Francisco. At least, that's what Hoshi kept telling herself. There was no reason for her to bring Four-Dee, her mouse droid, on this trip. Still, she felt like she needed to explain to someone just what she was contemplating.
"Seems like a nice place, right? It's not as warm as the Amazon, but there's less tropical bugs," she said out loud. "You'd like it better that way. No more getting dead bugs stuck in your wheels. Of course, the quarters here are smaller, but that's only until I finish training. Then I could probably get an apartment or something like a lot of the other Starfleet officers. Unless I get assigned to a ship right away -- but it could be years before that Warp 5 ship is ready. So, should I do it? Do I really want to re-join Starfleet?"
Four-Dee beeped a few times, as if to say, "Why haven't you said yes already?" Hoshi was certain it was a positive response, though, because she'd been tinkering with the droid's language programming.
"Alright, then. Let's head over there and go find Captain Archer," said Hoshi, getting to her feet.
[NFB, but definitely open for calls, texts and emails. Look, if she's talking to a droid, then Hoshi must really be starved for communication with others. OOC comments are also welcome.]
