"H-How many times do I h-have to go on s-stage again?" Hinata asked, with the tone of one who'd asked herself that question many times already, from where she was lying on the floor and attempting to fish Yei out from under the bed.

Yei was not cooperating. It was a game! Hiiii, Mommy! See? Here's my tail, and then I'm over here!

"There's just two more performances. Besides, you were fine last night," Hoshi pointed out, watching from her own bed. Porthos was fast asleep across the room.

"S-Somehow," she conceded, flushing. "I didn't do too badly, a-at least. You were lovely."

From:

"I was okay for opening night, but I probably could have been a little bit better," said Hoshi. "I got a little rattled after Robin's mishap on his entrance and spent the rest of the night watching where I stepped."

"I stopped t-thinking," she admitted. "B-Because if I thought, I w-would mess up. The bread w-wasn't so bad for me, and at the very least t-that will be gone tonight."

"That's not a bad idea. I do over-think stuff at times," said Hoshi. "I'm kind of looking forward to tonight's performance, now that I'm a lot more comfortable with being on stage."

Hinata wriggled a little further under the bed in her attempt to catch hold of Yei. "I," her voice slightly muffled, "m-merely hope that last n-night was not a fluke."

"I'm sure it wasn't," said Hoshi, smiling. "We all worked really hard to pull this off."

A little more, and then, victory was heralded by a plaintive meow as Hinata wriggled out from under the bed and slightly rumpled looking Yei in her arms.

"Caught you," she said lightly, before glancing up at Hoshi. "And w-we did, that's true. It was n-nice seeing it come t-together."

Hoshi smirked a little bit at Yei's protests. "You know, when I saw the last play, I didn't appreciate how much work went into it," she said. "It feels good knowing how much I was able to contribute to this one."

She hopped off the bed and stretched her arms overhead. "Are you doing anything for the holidays, now that classes are done?" asked Hoshi.

"I have not decided," she admitted, standing in one smooth motion, Yei still in her arms. "I m-might go home for a few days, at l-least, but we don't c-celebrate this holiday at home."

Hoshi nodded. "Not everyone does, but it's nice to get a break. I'm not going home this year, but I might get away for a few days."

"Any i-idea of where?" she wondered, smiling slightly as Yei attempted squirm towards the open door.

From:

"I heard people from Professor Skywalker's class are doing a community service project. They're going to some place called Endor. I might join them," said Hoshi.

From:

"I h-hadn't heard that," she noted, pressing a light kiss to Yei's furry little head. "Any m-mention of what sort of service?"

From:

"I'm not quite sure yet," said Hoshi. "I heard people talking about it. Professor Skywalker announced it in class this week, but I'm not in that class. Still, it sounds like it could be interesting."

"P-Perhaps," she said lightly. "For the t-travel, if nothing else."

From:

"Right. It can't hurt to do some traveling, especially if I learn something from the experience," said Hoshi.

From:

Robin knocked on the door, a present tucked under one arm.

From:

"Hi Robin! Come in," said Hoshi, sitting up on the bed and waving Robin over to her empty desk chair.

Porthos had been snoring lightly at the foot of the bed, but he rolled over and looked sleepily at the visitor.

"Hi Hoshi!" Robin said. He waved to Porthos. "Hi Porthos." Then he hopped up onto the chair.

Awhile ago Rowlf had recorded a basics of Dog, language tape. Robin had gotten a copy of it, and presented it, wrapped of course, to Hoshi.

"Do I have to wait until Christmas to open it?" asked Hoshi, grinning.

From:

"Not at all." Robin said, beaming. He liked being there when they opened the presents afterall.

With that, Hoshi ripped into the packaging. "Oh, neat! Thank you so much, Robin," she said.

"I hoped you'd like it. Merry Christmas."

"I've got something for you, too," said Hoshi, retrieving a wrapped present from her closet.

Inside was a digital recording of the sounds of the rainforest. It wasn't exactly the Everglades, but Hoshi figured it might remind Robin of home.
