Room 423, Monday morning
Jul. 20th, 2008 11:29 pmHoshi had been making steady progress in translating the Narn books that G'Kar gave her a few weeks ago. The Narn translation of Huck Finn helped serve as her own Rosetta stone, though she had it admit it lost a little here and there when translated back into English.
But her early success probably made her a little too confident. When she came cross something that didn't make sense in another book, Hoshi got out a white board and started writing out the words she had trouble with, along with some possible meanings based on context. Except the context was hard to get when you couldn't understand most of the paragraph, which meant that she had to jott down more words that she couldn't translate.
She realized that this was probably going to take a while, but that was okay. Hoshi figured she'd crack it eventually.
