Selkie Cove, Tuesday morning [3/25]

Even though she was still a little sort from martial arts club, Hoshi had taken Porthos for his usual morning walk. Today, though, she kept walking until she found herself in a part of the island that she hadn't been to before. Eventually, she got to the beach and couldn't walk any further, so she sat down, took Porthos off his leash, and let him run around for a bit.
According to the radio, Ino dumped Michael. Hoshi's first instinct was to talk to Michael, but she hadn't done it over the weekend because it would have been awkward until she handed baby Reizo over to Summer. And class on Monday would have been the perfect time to talk to Michael, except she couldn't get over what Ino had said -- or not said -- when they talked Sunday morning. While she liked Michael, Hoshi wanted to stay friends with Ino. It looked like the only way to do that was to stay away from Michael for now.
By the time she came to that conclusion, Porthos had enough of playing and was licking her face. "You hungry? Come on. I've got some cold soba noodles back at the dorms," she said.
[Establishy, but you're welcome to run into her.]
