Room 423, Wednesday afternoon

Hoshi's good mood over doing radio the other night was starting to wear off. She was really starting to envy Robin. She was standing in front of her closet in her undies and taking stock of how much she had left in clean clothes. "I can't believe the laundry machines went on strike, especially with all the new students around," she grumbled. Maybe she could turn stuff inside out and wear it, but that thought made her frown even more.

[Establishy. Door closed, but post is open for Amber or the roommate if she's around. Or for a little sibling too.]

"There are some interesting people out there who are into some weird things, if you believe everything you read on the Internet," said Hoshi.

She chuckled. "Moral support would be good, but I'm more likely to need someone to keep me from calling people once I get drunk."

"I might have to look stuff up." A beat. "You know, when I'm bored or something."

Amber giggled. "I love your drunk dialing. We should get drunk and dial people, Hoshi!"

"I have no idea how many people I called that night," said Hoshi, blushing again. "Someone from the hotel found me and brought me there to sleep off the hangover."

"Oh my gosh, you must have been pretty bad off. Why? Something trigger your drinking?"

"No, I probably just should have started drinking on an empty stomach," said Hoshi. "There was nothing else going on except a drunk mun who thought it would be funny."

Amber giggled even though it really wasn't funny. "Hoshi! Next time eat something first!" Not that she ever obeyed that rule herself.

"Yeah, well, I didn't know until yesterday that you're supposes to eat bar food to soak up the alcohol in your system," said Hoshi, smiling. "Wish I had taken a class like Food Appreciation a year ago."

"That or drink water. I hear it helps too," she nodded and then she reached for another cookie. Schnapps was strong stuff.

"Oooh, I'll keep that in mind. The tutors back home didn't exactly cover that," said Hoshi. "Jack showed up at the hotel the next day and tried to give me something called dog hair, but I wouldn't take it."

[identity profile] minnesota-teen.livejournal.com 2009-01-15 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Dog hair? Can't say I've ever heard of it," she said. "Guess it was supposed to help with the hangover, yah?"

"That's what he said, but it sounded disgusting so I wouldn't touch it," said Hoshi.

"I don't blame you. I wouldn't have either," she told her.

"I'm getting a buzz. Maybe I should head back to my room and sleep. I definitely can't do any wash. Stupid Fandom."

"This stuff is pretty strong, even if it's kinda nice," said Hoshi. "You know, of all the futuristic stuff I brought from home, why didn't I think of something that would do laundry? That's been bugging me all day."

[identity profile] minnesota-teen.livejournal.com 2009-01-15 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Amber giggled. "Yah, why didn't you?" she teased. "I'd have something clean to put on after my shower."

"Because I had no idea that washing machines and coffee makers and bathroom stalls -- ugh! -- could go on strike," giggled Hoshi.
