Finding a suit and mask for Jeff was actually a lot easier than finding her dress. After making a quick phone call, Hoshi went back to contemplating her dress options while she waited for Jeff to swing by and pick up his suit.

"I can't understand what he's thinking sometimes," said Hoshi. "I don't hear from him a whole lot either."

"You should probably be relieved about that. Guy sounds like a skeeze."

"A what?" asked Hoshi. That wasn't a word she heard in her English lessons.

"...kind of hard to define. But look, you're still in high school and he's making you take modelling classes and sending you those clothes you told me about. Like that."

"So he wanted me to fit in better with the other students?" asked Hoshi, still not understanding.

Michael shook his head.

"Fitting in's not important if you have to force yourself to get there."

"So, you think the Orion costume was too much?" asked Hoshi.

"Just a little bit."

"Well, I didn't wear the dress that went with it. It was a bit skimpy. The body paint worked just fine," said Hoshi.

"Yeah, but the point is, he wanted you to go out in the dress and... body paint?"

"Orions are green, so the costume came with green body paint and a dress that had a lot of holes in it," said Hoshi.

"...tell me he didn't ask for pictures of you wearing it."

"No, he didn't ask for any pictures or anything," said Hoshi.

"Okay, that's a little better than it could have been, but it's still... weird."

"Should I have gotten pictures for him?" asked Hoshi.

"No", Michael said hastily. "Not dressed like that. How old is this guy?"

"Well, it's hard to tell. He had a receding hairline, but he looked to be about 30," said Hoshi.

"See? Thirty. Sixteen. Dress with holes in. Creepy."

"Fifteen, actually. I don't turn sixteen until July," said Hoshi. "But what's wrong with his age?" After all, Hoshi had a long-time crush on Commander Archer, who was also 30.

Michael eyed her.

"You really think it'd be okay for a guy his age to hit on you?"

Hoshi certainly wouldn't have minded if Commander Archer had been hitting on her instead of flirting with that silly waitress. "Is that bad?" she asked.

Michael paused, trying to pick his words carefully.

"...most people would... think it wasn't a great thing for him to do, yeah."

"Oh," said Hoshi, wondering why no one ever voiced the same concern about Commander Archer when she went on and on about him. "Well, if Daniels ever wants pictures, I'll tell him that the technology here doesn't allow me to send any yet."

Probably because Commander Archer had never done anything that could be considered reciprocation.

"You can send him pictures of you looking normal", Michal tried to clarify. "Just... not in that dress."
